Well, I should have just closed out my site however I guess I'll update. First off a couple deep thoughts
I scrambled to the top of the precipice where Nick was waiting. "That was fun," I said. "You bet it was," said Nick. "Let's climb higher." "No," I said. "I think we should be heading back now." "We have time," Nick insisted. I said we didn't, and Nick said we did. We argued back and forth like that for about 20 minutes, then finally decided to head back. I didn't say it was an interesting story
I wouldn't be surprised if someday some fishermen caught a big shark and cut it open, and there inside was a whole person. Then they cut the person open, and in him is a little baby shark. And in the baby shark there isn't a person, because it would be too small. But there's a little doll or something, like a Johnny Combat little toy guy---something like that.
Well, lets see what have I been doing since March 15th. Oh man
Well, I went on Choir tour out to Lancaster which was really fun. I actually enjoyed the bus ride and I liked our group. I stayed with my cousins while there which was really fun as well. We first stopped in Goshen and I stayed with a 91 year old man name Milo. He was somewhat frail but a cute old guy--I guess. In the morning he wanted to give us hugs goodbye and as he was hugging me he commented that he just loved getting hugs from girls. That was a little awkward. He then got lost twice on the way to his own church. I had to help him find the road. Oh old men.
It was really nice to see my cousins, aunts and uncles. I had another aunt from Illinois that just happened to be visiting her son and sister in the Lancaster area the same time as MSEC and so of course we gathered over food and great conversation. Good times, good times. MSEC came and went and then I guess banquet was the next thing.
That was fun. I went with Kaleb Wyse who is one of my closest friends. We went in a really neat 1930 Model A or T or some letter of the alphabet car. The weather was really crumby the whole time-it was rainy and cold but it still proved to be fun. I really enjoy the foyer decorations and I liked the onion rings. After banquet was pretty fun except that I watched the movie RV which I didn't like and I don't recommend. We then went to stake'n shake for breakfast and I ordered an omelet that had nacho cheese on it. That didn't seem to help the dish at all. After regaining some sleep from banquet it was time to get a lot more serious about the musical, Cinderella.
I played a stepsister, Joy or Joyabella or something along those lines. It was a really fun cast and overall it was a fun musical to do. If anybody wants to see pictures you could go to the IMS website. The next weekend was graduation.
Well-I graduated. That was fun. Caleb Det. and I gave the student address. After Bacc. was my graduation party. We had Chili Dogs, nachos, peanuts, whoopi pies and cotton candy. After graduation and that jazz our class headed off for D.C.
Class trip was really fun. I enjoyed that bus ride for the most part as well. I started feeling really sick on the way home and Sara Miller comforted me which was really nice since I thought I was going to puke. I think my favorite part of class trip was just the bonding in general but my favorite site was the Church of Immaculate Conception. There was some pretty neat artwork. I also liked the dolphins at the aquarium and I liked our free day where I saw the White house, Smithsonian and a few other things. After returning home from class trip it was more or less like summer had started.
This summer I have been a counselor at Crooked Creek Christian Camp which has be wonderful fabulous and all these other great things. I am currently missing out on 6th and 7th grade camp and then I will miss out on the 7th and 8th grade camp. I am really bummed because I think I could be a counselor for life. I love the staff and the campers and the atmosphere and the sort. This week (6th-7th) is a really small week and so they didn't need me and then next week I will be gone with the Explore program. I'm getting to that.
I leave the 10th of July for a summer program called !Explore. I have been and will continue to then work at my church doing different things and learning different aspects of the church. I am focusing on drama, administration and preaching and so I will learn more about those areas and somehow log 100 hours in the process. I think it will be really fun and I am looking forward to meeting people as well as the learning process involved with Explore.
In between camp I would hang out with friends and family which is always fun.
I don't know if I ever wrote my final college decision but I am going to head up North this next fall and go to Canadian Mennonite University. For now I am enrolled in a 3 year B.A in Church Ministry-I think that is what I want for now.
Whew that was a lot of writing and maybe I will update more than just every three months.
